I liked this. I really enjoy stories where there are different things going on than what the POV character knows, and you pulled that off well here. :)

Thanks, yeah, I like the idea that they're at cross purposes. Owen is tired, but he's doing his best by Ianto. However, if Ianto thinks about it, it's just another thing that confirms that the people he works with don't really see him.

Thanks! I think Owen really did try to do right... it's just that he's practical about things and when he misses the mark that comes across as callousness.

Thanks. I figure this kind of feeds into both Jack's statement that Ianto hid himself from his colleagues and Ianto's assertion that they ignored him. As much as Ianto's willing to let Owen assume the worst, I think he kind of resents that Owen would think that.

Thanks! In my opinion Torchwood is dark. In the show we have good characters doing essentially evil things (retcon for example), and it's kind of fun to play in that sandbox.
