Ever since Classic Rock™ emerged as a radio programming format, the challenge has been to define just what qualifies as “classic”.

It is interesting that the local classic rock station (and stations, I do travel) play the same songs. For example, at this very second, I am in an office with it on and it's Baba O'Reilly.

What is interesting to me is when I talk to fans and with Sirius XM and other options in the equation, people like the artists, but want to hear other songs. For example, XM had a channel called Deep Tracks. So it's still Jethro Tull but it's not Aqualung or it's Zeppelin but not the obvious. There's no reason why this formula wouldn't work in lieu of hearing the same songs time and again.
