It was snowing. He hadn't had much experience with snow in his twenty one years on the planet earth. And looking outside it was coming down in a single sheet of white fluff, like the cotton stuffing his mother used to fill the blankets she used to make to pay the rent. So sad and sweet, not to mention that it was nice getting something from Jon. (Your t-chan is proud! *huggles*) No wonder Jon fell for Maggie - she and his mother seem to be a lot alike.

I didn't realize that she was until I was writing it. Maggie does remind him of her. She has the same kinda of resigned sadness sometimes. And I think that kinda draws him as much as her smile which can more than light up a room. His mother was bouncy when she was healthy and lively. Creative, honest, patient, and generous. She was the mother you'd find dancing and bopping away to the radio with her two year old, both in their pajamas b/c that's what Jon wanted to wear today.

I like Jon's mother, btw, and if she is anything to go by, Jon must be a wonderful person. Also a mention of Eric! Yay! ^_^
