I might be going to Athens this Sunday which is going to be awesome. The rest of my weekend is being filled with babysitting, working valet, attending the Bands of America regional marching band festival with Jaime (which I am totally ( Read more... )

There are 3 sessions, the Friday evening, the Saturday day and the finals Saturday evening. Jaime and I'll be at the session Saturday day which starts at 7:30am and ends at 5:00pm. We probably won't get there until at least 9:00am, although I am interested in Ooltewah and they are playing at 8:30, so we'll see.

We're not going to see any band in particular. We just go to see bands and to reminesce on our own days of marching and how the shows these days are more obsessed with props, fireworks and crazy light shows than the actual marching or dare say, the quality of the music.

It's good times. If you stop by let me know.

i was in the seminole marching band for 4 years. we have won the atlanta regional 3 times before. they go on at 1015, but i have to be at arden's garden at 11, and i have no money to get into the prelims. so i'm gonna ask around and see if anybody i know is going and can get me a free tic. i'll let you know what's up.

When they rule, they tend to suck.
When they suck, well, then I'm more inclined to be charitable.

I so DIG that you are into marching band stuff still. You are too cute! And you are a Goddess.

BTW, in case I didn't tell you enough at your party. I dig your digs too. Very sweet pad!

you like? it's small, but the space is divided, not like it was in the loft. The loft was cool but there was no separation between you and anyone else. It's like there was so much open space you couldn't find your own space.

So it's small but it's cute, the neighbors are awesome, it's Marta-friendly and right next to the square. I'm digging my place.

Yes, I took all those things into account when I said I liked it! But I love small apt. buildings like that (1920s style), and yours seems to really have good community. And YEAH, MARTA-close! Decatur-shops-and-bars-close!

I applied for a job at Agnes Scott library a few years back. . . I would have loved to stay in Kirkwood. . . I miss it. But given the ex thing and being here at OU, it makes more sense that I'm living closer to work. It's so not as cool as where you live though.
