Wow. On a pedestal much? I like the guy, but there's something a little too "knight in shining armor" about that for me. Its funny how he says over and over again that we've got to make change happen ourselves, but then people still want to make him the savior. It reminds me of that scene from Life of Brian.

i don't think it's a pedestal thing, though. he inspires such a grassroots event that, in a lot of cases, legitimately doesn't seem to be "about him" per se, but about all the things we secretly hope for in our government but have been "feared out" of hoping for. finally someone saying a lot of the things that a lot of people felt, but during the last seven years haven't has liberty to express. and to hear him speak in person does inspire you to do things you thought you'd never feel inspired to do again.
anyway, after my umbrella sagged with the phrase "on a pedestal much" i have shaken off the rain and glared the rainclouds into dissipating.
