This is an ancient post.. Phillip he lost that place, his ranch with cats, because the ASPCA was threatened by it...and so was PETA...I guess they decided 'dead cats' were better than competing for donations. I think that is what it was....they were jealous of how much money he was getting. All of his cats went lost, or they died. He almost committed suicide. I could not believe that these societies which claim they love animals would allow this to happen, but...it did.

That sucks. I don't know anything about the SPCA, but I can tell you that the PETA folks are humorless assholes. Their celebrity spokesperson is Chrissi Hinde, (of The Pretenders.) She's a wonderful musician, but offstage she's also a humorless asshole. How Ray Davies (of The Kinks) could ever have a child with someone so awful is beyond me.
I'm very sorry to hear that he lost the place, and the chance to keep saving those kitties.
