Interesting.. I had been here in 2001. I remember eating tapioca in the marketplace. Later I also heard tht the church had been badly affected by the tsunami.

Now there is no sign of the Tsunami every affecting the church; I guess these places get back to normal pretty fast.

Used to visit Velankanni regularly when I was young..thanks for the e-visit! It's... of course...far more crowded than I remember!

We were there on a Sunday evening which I guess is when it is the most busiest.
