Last week of my weekly polling business. (Though it's been fun so who knows? Perhaps these shall reappear sometime when my schedule allows and questions come to mind.) Figured it was best to do a big finish with a big poll:

I hope you do continue with the occasional polls -- they are a lot of fun! :D

I am quite amazed that "giraffe" is leading the zoo association question 2:1 right now against the nearest competition (tie between lions and elephants).

My "Other" on the open relationship question: I think there are situations where it may be the best option for a given set of people and more power to them in those cases. Which is close to the "I want no part of it but am supportive" option, except I don't have a personal objection to it. Like, my partner would be strongly opposed, so obviously not in my current relationship. But if I were with someone and they wanted to try it, it would not be a dealbreaker for me (I think; this has never come up for me outside of hypotheticals).

I was just talking about my feelings about open relationships bc I come across a fair amount of people on okc in them that I'd otherwise be interested in. I went on a date with one and liked her, but I dont think I can do the open relationship thing, at least not now, though I consider trying to be in a relationship with someone who is to keep options open but likely couldnt. But I see how they seem to make sense- that I dont know I fully 'believe' monogamy can always work, it allows you to have different things with different people, you wont maybe get as sick of who you're with, etc.
But I still desire a monogamous relationship for myself if ever possible.
