I don't think this relationship (or the lack of one, really) gets enough attention. So I felt compelled to lend my own spin on things.

Mickey/Rose is a pairing that doesn't get enough attention (mainly because it's not fluffy) and I happen to think that Mickey got a raw deal (Jackie told everyone he was a MURDERER, for God's sake). I was really happy that he was able to move on, the only problem being that the more sympathetic he became, the more dislikeable Rose became. I think this fanmix really captures that.

I always thought Where'd You Go? by Fort Minor is a good song for these two (with a bit of Jackie thrown in).

Definitely agree about the raw deal part. That's really where this mix came from. Even though I didn't like Mickey at first, I really came to understand his side of things as time wore on.

Well, Mickey was just the cowardly boyfriend at first, more interested in football than aliens, completely freaked out. But starting from Aliens of London, you start to feel for him, and then you get Boomtown and that awful scene when he asks Rose what he's supposed to do while she's travelling around, just wait for her? And then in Parting of the Ways, when she tells him that normal life isn't enough for her anymore, he still helps her to get back to the Doctor. And of course, throughout S2, Mickey just gets more and more heroic, which makes Rose looks more and more selfish for just dumping him. It's Mickey who has the courage to leave the Doctor voluntarily and forge a new life (twice). I <3 Mickey Smith.

Aww gee, thanks. :)

This is one of the mixes I'm most proud of, so it's great to get the good feedback.

I don't think I've ever seen a mix with Mickey. Thanks for doing one; he was one of the most important people in Rose's life before she met the Doctor.
