I came across Sahel Sounds through a Kickstarter raising money to create the first Tuareg-language fiction film (a homage to rock film Purple Rain called Akounak Tedalat Taha Tazoughai or... I shall have to give this a listen over the weekend. Not that long ago I actually caught up with one of the musicians you introduced me to through that blues compilation you sent me way, way back and we had a fabulous night out at our local music venue as a result, so I trust your judgement in these things (and I'd like to thank you for giving us the introduction to the very wonderful Hat Fitz...)

Oh, that's awesome! I haven't been to the Blues Festival for the last few years; I should arrange leave for the next one.

'Music From Saharan Cellphones' is very different listening, but there were some tracks I really enjoyed.
