Dave glances both ways, as casually as he can, before he slips down into the subway station. It's so damn quiet these days. Since the revolution, some people have taken it so far as to start riding bikes and walking everywhere. The subways still run, but on limited stops in only the largest cities. Rose peers her brother's direction with just the slightest tilt of her head, acknowledgment that she's taken note of his arrival, but not enough to give anyone who might be watching the impression that they might know each other. Lifting her wrist to check the analog watch strapped to her wrist, another signal, as there is a digital clock counting the minutes in the bottom of her vision, she turns and starts sauntering down the tunnel with a small sigh, as if maybe she already missed her train and she doesn't want to wait around for the next one.

Dave follows her lead with no particular hurry, and makes no move to catch up with her until they're far enough down the tunnel that anyone following them would be obvious. Then he does, lengthening his strides until he falls into step with her and slows down again. Even so, he doesn't say anything. He takes off his shades and leans close for the laser.

It's dark when the scan finally finishes and the door slides open. However the Strider's are regular clients and they know their supplier well. Well enough to know that just because it is dark, does not in any way mean no one is home. And well enough to know that there is a shotgun pointed at them from somewhere in the dark corners.

There's a flicker of light from Dave's shades before he slides them back on, and then it's dark enough that he can't see a thing. He stays wisely put near the door.

"C'mon, Harley, put that thing away. You know it's embarrassing, you having bigger guns than me."
