I was wondering if there was any policy on the use of the basement rooms in the Main Gauche, and if I could reserve the use of one of the larger ones for a night

Use of the basement rooms is subject to the same rules of conduct which cover the rest of the Main Gauche. So far we've not had enough interest in the basement areas to warrant scheduling; just make sure that your event doesn't disrupt Gauche life and that you clean up after it, and there should be no problems.
