Disclaimer: Don't know, don't own, never happened.
Summary: Ville and Bam go to school together. They're not friends. They don't even know each other. But when they get roped into the boys' school production of Romeo and Juliet, sparks fly!

The readings came. This was so lame, Bam thought as she slumped down in his seat. He hadn’t even gotten to pick who he wanted to read for! He had the suspicion that DeWitt already knew who he wanted for these roles.
Bam was reading for Romeo, and Ville for Juliet. For some reason, perhaps because he had seen how pretty the boy’s sister could be, Bam thought he might actually do okay. Of course, no boy could ever do well in a woman’s role like this, but Ville probably wouldn’t suck.
The older boy read the cliché scene of Juliet standing, waiting for her Romeo. Wherefore art thou? Strangely enough, his voice was filled with longing and desire, casting an enchantment over the audience.
Bam swallowed. He closed his eyes and let Ville’s voice wash over his. What would Violet’s sound like? Why was he imagining this deep voice coming out of her pretty little mouth?
“You did pretty good.” Bam nudged the tall man when he came to sit down. The blush that spread on his cheeks was rather fetching. His green eyes, so like Violet’s, seemed to glitter.
“Thanks,” he murmured. He glanced at Bam, those blue eyes looking like they were cooking up mischief. One curly brown strand was on hanging over his forehead. Ville’s fingers longed to reach over and brush it away.
“Do you think we’ve gotten our parts?”
“Probably,” he shrugged.
“I think we’re the only ones good looking enough to pull off the leads.” The younger boy whispered. Ville laughed through his nose. That one hair was driving him crazy.
Was it the hair, or was it just the need to touch Bam? Touch him while he was being Ville and not Violet? He tried to brush the rush of feelings away. Now was not the time. He’d be able to this weekend.
If only the weekend could come faster.
“All right, you all did very well.” DeWitt’s voice broke him out of his thoughts. He jumped and snapped to look like he had been paying attention.
“I will let you know at our next meeting who got what role. And remember, there are no small parts, only small actors!”
“Careful, that saying’s an antique.” One would be joker called out. Everyone groaned and rose up, gathering their bags and books.
“Hey, Ville!” Bam grabbed his elbow before he could walk away.
“Yes?”
“I invited you to watch me and my friends skate. How about today? Or are you busy? Because if you are, that’s totally okay. No pressure or anything. It’d just be awesome if you could.” Bam was sort of aware he was babbling, but he couldn’t seem to stop it.
“I’m not busy.” The tall one cut it with a soft smile. Bam felt himself going warm.
“Great. Follow me.” He scurried away, aware of the quiet boy following him.

Ville sat in the grass, hugging his knees to his chest, watching. He smiled shyly at Bam’s friends, shook their hands, and then found this spot to watch. It was perfect. He could see Bam very clearly.
Bam skating, leaping over the homemade obstacles of tin can walls and plywood ramps, held together by prayer and duct tape. He was aware that he was trying his hardest to do this perfectly.
He was usually a perfectionist when it came to came to getting on his board, but today he was pushing himself. Bam told himself it was just because he wanted to impress his girl’s brother; he wanted to earn the respect.
That had to be it.
Ville just sat, watching him, a strange smile playing on the corners of his lips.
