Nice. I liked the mix of pain and comfort that Steve's life encapsulates now, especially in that epilogue.

Yeah, I wanted this to be at least somewhat realistic, in terms of chronic pain and combat trauma. Steve will always have those things to cope with, even if he and Danny are in love and happy together and even if he has a great 'ohana around him.

I really enjoyed this AU; it has such a nice feel with the dailyness of it and with Steven and Danny's coming together through Grace (and chemistry :-)). I also really liked having the harder edge of the epilogue to see a little more of what Steve went through, which still shapes his life in some ways.
