You put it so perfectly. Even if it's a hallucination, what does it say about House that's what he hallucinates?

I guess Taub's "Pina Colada" ringtone was a lampshading of the ending, which made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER. The fanwank will be epic.

At least we won't have to listen to the Huddies anymore.

House being all HAPPY WITH HIMSELF for shitting all over people who care about him really, really pissed me off. David Shore seems to have the idea in his twisted brain that people like House being an Island Unto Himself, Beholden to None, when it's instead the glimpses of human connection that make House bearable.

I'm sensing a serious need for ice cream. Think I'll apply it directly to the shark bites.

I was enjoying the episode until that very last scene. Him walking along with a smile. What the fuck? He just does not give a shit about anyone but himself.

I don't think he gives a shit about himself, either. And was higher than a kite.

Perhaps some good crack!fic could dull the pain.

Him not giving a shit about himself is not an excuse.

Have you seen any of this season?

No, I guess the better question is: Do you care if you get spoiled?

Previously on House: House and Cuddy went out, then Cuddy broke up with House, because she realized she can't make it work with him long term. House responded by checking into a swank hotel, partying, and going back on Vicodin. Then some more episodes happened. Wilson has been trying to be a good friend to both House and Cuddy, but more to House. House has responded by forging Wilson's name on Vicodin prescriptions ( ... )

I'm thinking that David Shore thinks that people like House to be outrageous, and he's just been pushing it up and up until he got this. Like we're all supposed to be yellow "woo hoo, awesome, he's fulfilling the fantasy of every guy who's ever been dumped, go House!".
Instead, as you say, I can't see how they can redeem him unless he checks himself into rehab or Mayfield. I've seen people speculate that he has a brain tumor or is hallucinating after ODing on vicodin, but I think that would be a huge cop-out.
Lisa Edelstein did the right thing.

That's what I suspect David Shore thinks. So I am very unhappy with David Shore.

What does he think Season Eight can be? That's my question now.

That's what I'm wondering!!! We've seen House get away with stuff he never, ever should have gotten away with, usually because Cuddy was protecting him. How can he get away with THIS? There's no pretending there's not a huge hole in Cuddy's house! How can they possibly come up with a way for House not to go jail or rehab or somewhere with bars on the windows???

House has done some really crappy things? But for this I wanted him to go rot in prison. Doesn't exactly make me want to tune in next time. It's really gross to push an "It's okay, he was ~*~angry~*~" sort of attitude.

I'm glad LE is gone, because I kind of don't want Cuddy to forgive him.

These are my thoughts. It was the first time I didn't care about him or what happened to him. I felt Wilson's pain of caring for him and then wondering why I bothered?
And then, yeah, with LE gone, or even if she wasn't, I don't know how he could be redeemed and it ruins the early seasons for me knowing what's to come. Stupid tv show.

I even just got mad looking at my House icons.

I don't want Cuddy to forgive him at all. I'm furious that the show forgave him instantly, and that a Season Eight means that Wilson will forgive him, likely for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. House won't do anything to redeem himself, because the show's made it clear that he doesn't have to.
