Rat!fic should be a category of its own. This one's great. My two -- no, three -- favorite moments are Wilson cuddling Steve to his shirt for the first time, House having thought that Cuddy really wore low-cut tops just for him, and the "Wilson, you dick, you bought a gay rat!" bit. And, y'know -- the play-fighting and "pulling on him like that." *ahem*

Thanks! This was fun to write (and steal from Nightdog). Steve really adds something to it - as someone else pointed out, he makes a good go-between/distraction, letting House and Wilson work out some of their feelings on him instead of each other.

Hee, hee, kitchen sex! And House whacking off in front of Steve...

Thanks! I didn't know much about rats so fallen_arazil really helped me out a lot.

I can't even begin to describe how much I adore this story. There's just not enough Steve centric fic out there as far as I'm concerned. I also particularly loved how Wilson and House pick up their old banter while their hands and their bodies explore something entirely new.

“He’s not going to hang by the neck until dead, though, because I rescued him. Didn’t I, sweetcheeks?” As he turned toward the cage again to address Tuco, Wilson let his hand slide down House’s arm, from the bicep, past the elbow, to the wrist and back again.

“Are you putting yourself in Clint Eastwood’s role?” House placed his now-free hand on Wilson’s shoulder and tugged Wilson back toward him. “Because I’m pretty sure he never called Tuco ‘sweetcheeks.’”

“It was in the director’s cut.” Wilson smiled broadly and felt privileged to have the same smile returned.

I'm still smiling over that. What a great story to wake up to. Thanks for writing it.

I'm so pleased you liked it. (It just now occurred to me I should've found a Steve icon, but oh well.)

I originally had the last few section of the main fic with no touching at all, and then I realized it was too abrupt of a jump to *ehem* "munching" and "pulling" in the epilogue. So, it's very gratifying to hear that you liked those paragraphs.

Thanks!

Oh, yes! That was my favorite part too. It was so subtle, a beautiful and believable transition from friends to lovers.

I adored this story! I'm adding it to my favorites!
