Sick of hearing about Swine Flu

Still don't get the panic. People in developing countries are getting really sick which is to be expected due to the lack of decent medical care, but why is everyone else panicking?

Because the media is not compatible with the reasonable and necessary precautions of a world medical community (WMC) that wants to avoid the VERY remote, but possible, scenarios that give us movies like "Outbreak." The media sees the WMC switch into high gear, which puts them into a feeding frenzy and our imaginations seem to do the rest.

We are sheep afraid of shadows in the shape wolves that are cast by our watchdogs.

And the media likes it because it's good for ratings. And, it's a good distraction from the economy, and torture. My job has become insanely paranoid.
