With th tree image i wanted to evoke Yggdrasil, but without all th cultural baggage. Also, it's beautifully chaotic.
Th desire to "cause" things, to make things happen, is, i think, related to our cultural obsession with power. The mage is aware enough of the world and their connection to it to move themselves to the place where things will happen of their own nature.
With carbon dioxide etc, we are causing the weather - causing it to snuff us out! That's karma for ya.
With th corollary of yr statement, i agree: the surest way to influence world events is to engage, participate, like we are now, in this word o mouth interaction! Let's plant seeds of discussion.
Oops! A happy still-fairly-new year to you! Apologies for lack o zerozen ones, things'v been a bit hectic lately. Am intendin a more productive vibe for this year. As per usual. But th productive times come as unexpectedly as th hard times, i guess, as long as u'r still in motion. This too shall pass, eh?
