pancake syrup dilemma~

Hey all~ What should I use for realistic pancake syrup? I know everyone uses liquid sculpey for polymer clay pancakes but I use air dry clay so that's out of the question, and I would also like to avoid resin if at all possible. Maybe try mixing watercolor paint with clear glue? You could also do this with epoxy?

What kind of fabric paint/hot glue? the only thing I've seen are opaque paints and gluesticks, so it looks like chocolate and not syrup :(

Um I think Michaels might have jelly-like fabric paints. They're kinda transparent. And if you search online, there are stores that sell tinted hot glue sticks :D

okay! From what I can tell my Michaels doesn't carry any jelly like fabric paints, but I'll google for both. I hadn't seen transparent brown gluesticks before. Thanks~

I've heard nail polish yellows after awhile? but I did try acrylic with varnish instead of glue and it made a difference! thank you :)

II use 2 part epoxy glue(about$4@target;hardware store;clear only)it dries permanantly hard shiny;and works perfectly on pancakes;mixed with a tiny bit of yellow paint just to tint. Can also be used for chocolate sauce and strawberry.love it
