Questions about cupcakes and varnish

I haven't post here anything for some time, just commented on some post ^_^
I came across a post on very good japanese blog,I mean with very good photos and inspirations, because I can't understand Japanese :P ;

I agree looks like hot glue. But i bet you could use almost anything

3rd vote for hot glue. It's the almost bluish milky tone that hot glue gets when it's cooled that made me recognize it.

You can buy hot glue in solid colors (including a chocolate brown), as well as metallics, and glitter. I bed those would look cool peeking through from the paper to the frosting. :)

Thanks for your help! :) But what if I would like to use normal paper cupcake wrappers instead foil ones like she did? Could I put hot glue into paper wrappers too?

It might hurt if I burn myself! :D nah only joking :P I think I will go to DIY store and search it for something I could use. I dont really want to buy special wrappers, glue and gun just to make these cupcakes :D I would like to buy something cheap and use wrappers i already have (a lot!)

Glue guns and hot glue are usually pretty cheap (if you buy one of the small guns) at fabric or crafting stores. :)
