You are so inspiring! I definitely am on a mission to beautify this place, and your little glimpses are so motivating for me. How lovely, all of it. I hope it brings you lots of peace. And I haven't forgotten that I have something to send you- I'm just a flake and haven't sent it yet. It will come soon!

Aw, what a nice thing to say--thank you! In fact it does bring me peace. I had a realization several years ago that (for me, at least) taking good care of my living space was a way of doing something nice for myself, making sure I have a space that feels safe and comfortable and happy. Even if there are moments when the work isn't fun, the end result is always satisfying. I'd love to see photos of any beautifying you do around your home!

And don't worry about whatever it is you're sending me--I know you're a busy woman!

Thanks. The first one definitely turned out the best--that's why it's first!

your backyard is LOVELY! I hope we can make ours look really nice. Right now, it's just a pile of dirt and rocks. :/

I'm sure you'll be able to make your yard nice. It just takes patience! I can't really take credit for this pretty garden, since almost all of the work was done by the previous owners.

You know, I do my share of procrastinating too. The mirror may look nice, but it sat around for months before I even touched it!

Glad you enjoyed the post. :)

Gosh, I wish you lived around the corner so I could learn your secrets! I love all of your restorations! You really know how to make a house a home.

Thank you! I don't really have any secrets--just a willingness to go for it. I figure if I experiment with things that I was able to get cheaply, it'll be no great tragedy if I ruin something!
