The 30 day UK meme - Food that you swore you would never eat but now love (or tolerate).

When I first got here I hated all English food. I'd go out on weekends to eat Chinese or Japanese. Seriously, some of the smell of the food here made me gag, especially lamb. When I pass by the roast pork stand in Birmingham I have to hold my nose sometimes ( Read more... )

So craaazy, because I would be happy with roast pork and lamb. I think kidney would take a while to get used to if I liked it at all. And I loooove curry and anything Indian.
But, I can't stand any cephalopod -- in Korea they love octopus and squid and every time I've had it it makes me gag to undocumented proportions. Tripe is a definite no no for me too though, so yeah. Eww, stomach.

I wanna to go Britain and have beans on toast and Shepard's pie. I'm totally as much of an Anglophile as I am a Japanophile. Teehee.

LOL I kind of wish I was an Anglophile. Maybe I aught to start a separate blog about living in England, there's a huge difference in the blogs from Japan/Anglophiles and people who just happen to live in Japan/England.

Don't get me wrong. I love Indian food in the US. I could eat it every day. But Indian food in the UK doesn't taste right.

I don't usually see tripe on menus here but it was at the store the other day and I was like D: D: D:

I can send you some English beans. Can't send a shepard's pie though, it'll go bad lol.

I'm still a Japanophile!!
