What did you think of my home provience? The Naki is where I was born and bred! Is that where your father was from? I'm glad you had a lovely time, did you go have a look at all the Last Samuri sites (like where it was filmed?) They did a bit in Pukeiti, and some in Pukekura Park, and a bit just north of Stratford. Tom was living in Oakura.

It's amazing the number of people I know that are from Taranaki. No, my Dad's not from here - my grandfather was a minister so they've been all over the country :) But my Nana and Granddad, and two sets of aunts/uncles have been in this area for over 25 years, so Dad's ashes are here, along with his parents.

Pukekura Park has always been one of my favourite places - we were out there this afternoon.
