I love THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD...one of my favorite books from college. Your book sounds great. I can't wait till my son is old enough to read it. =)

Janie and Tea Cake! What a story.:) I was talking about SEA yesterday (my WIP has similar themes -- well, just a girl going 'home' to Jamaica to do relief work) and I'm so excited to read everyone's books here -- such a varied, compelling list.

oh i'm so glad you were talking about SEA!

i bet your WIP is fantastic. my husband is a psychiatrist and has volunteered in indonesia, africa and cambodia working with orphans and their post traumatic stress--fascinating, but sad work.

LOVE Tea Cake by the way--he was such a cutie. =)
