Deb is up and taking short walks up and down the hall at the hospital. She was having severe gut pain: apparently, she developed ileus -- a shutdown of the intestines -- during surgery, which isn't uncommon (the innards are particularly upset by being handled), so they've been wary of giving her too much pain med because that can exacerbate ileus
