Disc 1 Is Finished!

What am I talking about?  Yes, I have seen all 4 episodes of disc 1 of my DVD set of BtVS .... fun to watch ... making me smile at comments made that I know will change as the 7 seasons progress.

I didn't remember much about these 2 episodes, so it is good to have this excuse to re-watch, and focus, so I can scribble something.

I often think about rewatching the whole series, but haven't gotten around to it. Since I know how things end, it would be interesting to see things I might have missed the first watching. The first season was a bit boring to me. The show hadn't really found it's style yet. I think the second season picked up and started to really find out who they were.

I have been suprised, in just these first 4 episodes how the overall themes, and plots were laid out ... as well as the throw-away lines, like the Railway Spike this time.

I tend to not watch this series, but thought I would like to slowly re-watch the lot, and am enjoying it.

I really want to put a block of time into rewatching both Buffy and Angel...not just because I love/d them but as the years go by I need a refresher if I want to still write for the characters (and I DO want to do that ( ... )

I am trying to be positive about all the characters, especially Xander and Angel, as I know later Spike episodes colour my view. Yet as I watch I realise the person is there all along. I can see how as a 16 year old Buffy looks at the main image, and not what the adult will later be aware of. I know that most of the people I knew at 16 I wouldn't want to know now.

I am enjoying it - just wish I had more time to watch and report, but until M&Ds anniversary has been and gone I need to focus on that.
