Later today we have our concert, and as I had to go out and buy flowers for the soloist, the leader and wine for the conductor, I thought I would go via the venue.

Back in the mid 20th Century this was the junior school (7 - 11) ... but about 1985 they built a new one, and this was turned into a venue - small and large rooms.  The main hall seats

It seems such a good building - why on earth did they feel the need to build a new one?

This is near the centre of the town - the new one is on the edge and have a large grass playing field ... so I can see a positive there.

That is a nice building, it looks big too, did they need a bigger builing is that why they built a new one, or was this simply slightly outated? Anyway, nice looking building.

The building got a bit outdated, but they got land for the new school on the edge of town, complete with a large playing field - so a win-win for the town.

This is a nice place to hold a concert. Would love to hear it. Glad that they are still using the building and didn't tear it down.

Thanks Astrid - yes it's good how they use both the large hall, plus the smaller classrooms as venues for an assortment of things within the year.
