Earlier in the week, I posted that I was doing the drabble meme, and one of the requests was for a Drabble about Giles, for alwaysjbj

Here it is - set during season 4, "A New Moon" and is 100 words (if you don't count the title!) ... and is un-beta'd!!

It was hard to write ... for an author I admire, about a character I know you love. But when I think of Giles, there are 1 or 2 scenes that stick in my mind, and him at Buffy's 19th birthday party is one.

Very good. We did see Giles go through a sort of midlife crisis. It hit Giles all at once. Buffy moved onto college life. His job was gone at the school. He no longer saw Buffy and the others daily. Maggie made an impression on Buffy for a short time. Giles felt replaced in so many ways. So not the norm for a watcher.
