It's five minutes from my house. An amazing place. I like the restaurant too which is lovely in the Summer when you can sit outside.

Hi!!

It is a lovely building, isn't it? Mum & Dad used to live in Torquay and it was a popular afternoon out for us all.

Yes, I have had tea & scone there in the past ... well worth a visit!

I was born in Paignton in 1967 and was glad to leave the place. Torquay was my teenage stomping ground but it's gone the way of so many seaside towns. I love the Abbey. A very special place. You should visit St Mary's church in Totnes. It's simply delightful.

yes, we used to enjoy walking through the Abbey grounds, and along the front. But sadly the town itself is nothing at all now.

Oh - thanks for the info. I haven't been to Totnes, so nice to know there is something worth a visit.

That statue is really tucked away, so a lot of people never get to see it.
