On Day 2 of Brenda's visit we went to
Buckland Abbey
... where Sir Francis Drake lived for a time. Prior to Henry VIII it had been a monastic abbey.

I will admit I am a sucker for a nice fireplace ... there are some stunning ones out there.
That barn is medieval ... it was thatched, but other than that it is as it was made

That barn is amazing ... and great that it's still being used.
At Christmas they have great displays, and now being school holidays they had assorted games set up for the kids.

Thanks - I do love wearing dresses. (as you can see even in my baby picture in the icon)
Hee - I wouldn't want to have to run up & down those stairs very often

I like dresses too for comfort especially when I travel on a plane. I don't feel as restricted LOL in those small seats in them. And they're great to be casual during the day or more dressy at night.
