Oh, my goodness - that's Elizabeth Taylor as Amy March! Talk about miscast. Although they're both powerful in their different ways. Physically, Elizabeth was all wrong for the part: the pampered blonde baby of the family.
Don't get me wrong - they're great icons. You do good work.
Hee - thanks. It is always fascinating to see actors in roles that really don't suit them. To me watching the Greer Garson version of Pride & Prejudice makes me smile ... especially the costumes
The costumes in the Greer Garson version of Pride & Prejudice were all wrong. Hoops were not worn in the Regency. I think the costume dept got some freebie dresses from an American Civil War movie.
I was born in the year of the Dragon. So don't hurt me, please. Being born in the year of the Dragon and being a Leo sort of paints me as a scary person. I can be, but only to those who cross me.
I so love Elizabeth Taylor. She was a complicated person, but so very talented and a good heart. She helped so many people over the world.
I lived in Flint (so Mum & Dad used to do Christmas shopping etc in Chester & Liverpool ... as near England). I went to Flintmountain Infants School. The year Jiffy was a puppy, Mum, Dad, he & I went there for our holiday and I am really pleased that M&D were able to re-visit the hole area, and to show me a part of the world I live in for 5 years, but didn't remember at all

I do like some of Elizabeth Taylor's earlier films ... a good actress, but lost in more publicity as the years progressed for her, sadly
I was born in the year of the ox ... solid & stubborn, I know!

Where were you in North Wales?
