A Final Glimpse Of Jersey

All of these photos were tataken in St Helier, which is the capital of Jersey.

Throughtout the island there are these towers, made during the Napoleonic Wars, and are called JerseyTowers.  Some are now made into holiday homes, but some like this one is awaiting a final decision -

The tower looks familiar - then I realised it reminds me of Reginald's Tower in Waterford where I holidayed with my Mum many years ago - weird what memories lurk in the recesses of our brains!

The bronze cows look a bit underfed to me :)

The war graves look beautiful with the banks of flowers. And I love the steam clock.

Ireland is on my "to visit", so maybe one day I shall see the towers

I hadn't really noticed the slim-line cattle ... but as you can see here they are often fairly thin

Those banks of flowers on the war graves are amazing.

And, yes, that clock is fascinating.

I've enjoyed seeing your photos so much! (Though I have to say I never really seeing ribs on cows.) (Unless, as a friend of mine once said, they're on my plate covered with a good barbecue sauce!) The central market looks interesting - did you browse through it?

That market is amazing - pretty to look at, but a great range of stalls in it.
