What Band or Musician is Important to you?I was born in 1961, so as a kid the radio was on - The Beatles, The Seekers, The Monkees, The Beach Boys .... and I still do like their stuff.  Weirdly, having no friends at school (due to bullying) I was isolated, so much of the 70's music passed me by then, but I do like it now ... The Rolling Stones ( Read more... )

I, too, was born in 1961! Yay us!

I've never seen GotR, so yay for you seeing who you love!

I hope you realize that 1961 was the last "upsidedown" year, until 6009 😊

I loved hearing James, and then GotR .... the atmosphere was a great addition

*hugs* I didn't have friends in school either. I am so sorry you were bullied.

LJ has been so great at making me realize that I am not the only person who had a tough school life.  Both my brothers had loads of friends which made me feel more isolated

*hugs*

You can't go wrong with Frank Sinatra and classical!

There is such a range in classical music it surprises me when people can't find something to enjoy

LOL I like your 60s choices. Not that I was a baby then, but...

I'm afraid James (and GotR) would never make my list of artists. I think he's a much better actor than he is a singer/songwriter. The only CD I have is the first one he did when I was a newly enamored fan. :) But I guess a lot of people think he's good...

James in concert brings his atmosphere and character with him .... so worth listening to.  Yes, he is an amazing actor and would love to see him get a really good role

He seemed to be doing a good job with Caprica - but then, I think they killed him off just before pulling the plug on the show. It would be interesting to see what he can do with a really good role in another really good show.

I haven't watched much music live either. Just my two favorite bands, Tokio Hotel and Mötley Crüe. :-)
