Jul 04, 2012 11:46

I am trying to catch up on some computer stuff today, as I spent yesterday sorting boxes out, when not resting the leg in the horizontal.  So today it is computer time ... and I warn you now, you may feel a bit spammed, so apologies ahead of time, if so.

It's quite lovely and so green. I think it so wonderful how people overseas take the time to really enjoy their history. Here, not so much. I've never seen the Alamo and just live hours away from it. I've only been to Mexico once. We traveled a great deal while in Europe, but seldom in our own country.

I just love travelling to places. "When" I get to see you, you will have to take me to The Alamo! One of those places everyone has heard of.

Mind you, when I came over for Annemaries wedding the Pastor's son asked me if I lived near Camelot. (As I lived near Tintagel, one of King Arthur's reputed castles, and he was 6 I said yes I did!)

What a lovely spot. I can just visualise that forge being in Rohan.

It is hard to imagine we are on the edge of a busy "modern" town.

Glad Action Figure Jesus felt "at home"

That looks so beautiful (and sunny!), strange to think of it being part of Torquay, though.

It always strikes me as weird that it is on the edge of Torquay (on the Painton road!) ... I suppose at the time ideal as it was near the sea, near an Abbey), and as you can see flat land.

PS - Hi - hope all is well with you.

*waves* Everything's good at the moment - I've just done a building update post, and will try and get a more 'me' sort of one done soon as well. Sorry to see you were 'sent home' the other morning; I hope your foot is healing and feeling better after a few days' rest.

Caught up with the pics of the extension on your post ... life is certainly hectic for you.

Yes, the leg is slowly heeling ... and I am being a good girl and resting lots. When not resting I am trying to make some order of the chaos that is my spare room.
