I don't think the link is working...

I know what you mean about not always liking real life friends reading your LJ. I have the same thing. Most of the time I don't mind, but sometimes I like the fact that I am writing for an audience of people I don't see all the time, or at all.

Even with the aid of semagic I am rubbish at posting images and cut tags and so on. Will try again :-)

Ha, I nearly got fired because of Real People reading my LJ, so I am in sympathy with being a little weirded. And I figured out the link and would like to comment that your daughter is TEH PRETTY.

I think she is pretty too. But what does TEH mean? I only recently realised people weren't continually mis-typing "the" and I haven't figured it out yet.

It sort of is mistyping "the" - it implies, more or less, that one is so carried away by the thing-ness of whatever thing one is talking about that one has forgotten how to type. Also, I blame jeejeen.

Aha - now I understand. I was thinking it was a IMHO sort of acronym.

Oooh thank you. You are clearly much cleverer than me.
I do mark a lot of my stuff as friends only, but not everything. And I have a Not In Front Of the Children filter, which I apply from time to time.

I see what you mean. He has a nice face, and looks like he will be a lovely First Date kind of guy for your girl, if in part because he understands how to respond to realistic threats from people's mothers. He looks like he was properly brought up, if that makes any sense.

But I did like the original link to the USGS!

He is, and his family are all lovely so I know he has been brought up to be a caring sort of chap. The valley girl could do a lot worse.
