My parents still live in NZ, but Mum is over for about 10 weeks, visiting me and doing the whakapapa, A.K.A. ancestor hunting.
Normandy was lovely - sunshine and food. Unfortunately I took my workmate's cold with me, so am not feeling too flash at the moment. :o( I love pseudo-ephedrine.
There is no HR here (the company is still too small), but the workmate who is coming to the meeting with me is in the management chain, so can help me escalate it if this isn't enough to get him going.
Also, woot on all the various physical activities and you getting harsh with the bossboss.
I'm happily moseying along, gestating and hanging out with the husband mostly. Doing some sewing and going to various things I get invited too. We know too many people in Wellington, so visits/social stuff takes up a fair amount of time (eg Wed had a couple of friends over for morning tea, a cousin also turned up to check our garden for Angelica, her husband and her have a catering business and use it. Thurs, went to friend's book launch, haven't seen her since Jan, she didn't even know I was pregnant, later that evening had different friend pop by to talk about me making her wedding veil. Fri had Mum visit in the afternoon and in evening saw Sokky sing in competition. Today I shall be buying veil fabric, going to a welcome back to NZ BBQ for some buds and this evening having dinner and a movie with another couple of friends).
I forgot that on Wed I also went shopping and had lunch with another friend and her one year old (Bean has just started working part-time and has no clothes that fit after having baby etc) and a tradesman came over to do quote for insulating our house. I did actually go to work on Thurs too.
Provence is going to be SO DAMN HOT. I may have to buy a hat, even though that never ends well. (I always seem to leave hats on public transport after about a week - strange but true.)

Hey- didn't know your Mum is still in New Zealand! How's she finding the UK? HAVE FUN in Normandy and Provence!!! Enjoy the sunshine!
Awww about the cute life guard- next time hopefully bb, and yay about climbing and dancing! *chuckles* dancing can be quite..ungraceful at times :D
Wise idea with the boss- if you bring someone else into, it should hopefully push him into it. If not- is there an HR to talk to?

Thank goodness I don't have a full time job!
