SO MUCH LOVE. It harkened back to the early days of SPN and all the tremendous qualities that hooked us in the first place! The darkness, the snappy dialogue, humor, grimness, twists, daring. You get my drift.

I don't think they'll kill Bobby. He might be in a coma for...who knows how long. But Bobby really has become one of the show's keystones. If they off him, wow. I dread to think.

Edlund KNOWS Show. Thank God for him, after that last episode.

I really love Edlund's episodes. It definitely reminded me of SPN in its glory days - you're right about the darkness. It was scary and gross and heart-tugging.

I do hope Dean's issues come to a head soon. He has been world-on-his-shoulders for so long now. Conversely, I hope Sam gets more screwed up than he is currently showing. Such warped priorities. :)

Eeeeep, I liked it a lot, too. I don't think they're going to kill Bobby right now, but I honestly believe they should kill him at some point this season. I mean, I love Bobby, but if this season is about stripping away what the Winchesters are used to Bobby would be the ultimate example of that.

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it too and even more glad you don't think they'll kill him now, but do you really think they'll kill him this season? Really???

I think I was hoping someone would convince me that my fears were completely unfounded. ;)

Whether they will or not, I have no idea. Maybe they'll just have him out of commission for a while? But it's been my opinion for a couple years now that--even though I love Bobby--he should be taken away from the boys for the sake of the story.

I'd take a coma. For a few episodes. I agree that Sam and Dean need to do this on their own for a while.

Woo-freakin'-hoo!!!! That's my Show. That. Rocked. So good. I love this writer. Love this director. Love the boys. Love Bobby. I don't think they'll kill him. Well, not yet. But it's smart to put him in peril. Because this is the final straw for Dean. Clear as a bell. If they need Dean to crack then this is how to do it.

I know! I'm just so relieved that this was a good one and that we can forget all about last week's episode.

I really really want Dean to get better. And I really really want Sam to get worse.

What does this say about me?

I hear you re Sam but I don't think it's going to happen. I think the Show is done with Hell and this is how they intend to solve it for Sam. It's not out of character. He's into control. He has figured out a way to control the situation with the technique he got from Dean re a 'real' wound versus the memories.

Just like the Show never really dealt with Dean's post-Hell I don't think we're going to see much more for Sam.

Dean, though, has been a slide for a year or years (depending on your view of the missing year). He's going to break. And Bobby might be the tipping point.

I guess I should let go of that hope and just read a lot of fic. Ancastar keeps assuring me that hell will be back, and she got the end of Season 5 right, so I'll just keep the faith a little longer.

I just want Dean to enjoy himself again. Be happy. I loved watching him eat that sandwich (until it started oozing and stuff) because he just got so much pleasure from it. Did you notice Sam's little amused smile? We all just want Dean to be happy again....

Loved it! This is exactly how I like my Supernatural humour, unlike last week. Loved Bobby playing hunter!therapist with Sam and Dean, and Dean issues with depression, alcohol, and suicidal ideation actually being talked about. And Sam wringing his hands, digging into his scar, all the while telling everyone how OK he is. NOT REALLY BUYING IT, SAM. But I love him so much for trying, you know?

And Bobby was awesome, and I have no idea if he's really dead or not, and I will miss him terribly if he's gone. But not as much as Sam & Dean will. They will be so alone if he's really gone. I can't even imagine.

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it too! I completely agree about the humor. Understated and actually funny this week.

Please, please, please Show....let Sam not be as okay as he thinks he is. Not yet anyway.

And please let Dean enjoy food and life again when he's not stoned.

That's all. I am seriously kind of disturbed when it comes to this show.

I want to write sonnets to Ben Edlund and Guy Bee. Just a brilliant episode all round. Loved it and want to watch it over and over again and draw hearts around ESPECIALLY Bobby. For me it was like the antithesis of all that was wrong with lats weeks I must admit. To be honest I feel kinda set up with the way those episodes screened. Like they knew that last weeks was gonna be received as a weak one. So lets just throw em all off completely with how utterly brilliant this one is gonna be. BASTARDS! lol - I love 'em.

I agree so much. I can't wait to watch this again, except for my uneasiness about Bobby.

I kind of got the feeling they were proud of last week's episode....kind of like a parent who is blind to the fact that their kid in choir can't hit a note. But I'll forgive them and move on. :)
