I haven't loved a premiere like this since I started watching in Season 4. And honestly... other than the first ep of Season 2, I think this was the best.
Sam's little praying face.... Dean fixing the car, but not being able to fix anything else. Cas!
There was so much good stuff! I'm seeing a lot of whining and complaining over at TWoP (as there will undoubtedly be at LJ), but it kept me interested and engaged throughout. The boys all seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The Season 4 premiere was the last one I enjoyed this much.

I wasn't crazy about Dean being all doom and gloom and passive at first, but I thought the end made up for that, and he kind of had a point. He was bitter, and his feelings were hurt besides.
Oh, and should I put a spoiler warning in my post? Having never done one I didn't know but thought it would be obvious. :-)

I was all like "But this is Dean! He doesn't give up!" But the guy's gotta give a little sometimes. He is only human after all.
And nope, no warnings necessary on your post. I'm not even sure why I put one on my comment. I mean even though your post is not spoilery in the least, people have to expect episode discussion in the comments!

Oh good. Just wanted to make sure.
And yeah, poor Dean. Poor Cas. Poor Sam. But it's all so wonderful. It's hard for me to articulate why, but this felt so much more like our show of old.

I may possibly have cheered when Lucifer mindfucked Sam into thinking he'd never escaped the cage.

It's like every fanfic I have ever truly loved come to life.

There was so much in this - I'm going to need to rewatch to be able to take it all in.
