私の市民権はアメリカだけど、心の中では日本人でもある。

*excited* Japanese figure skater, Arakawa Shizuka, won the gold medal for figure skating!! It's the first time in Japanese history that they won gold in figure skating. Congrats to her♥ America won silver. When it comes to olympics and stuff, I feel so bad because I want to cheer for both of my countries. Usually, I find myself cheering for America ( Read more... )

I've read that book and the thing is I should like it because it has four of my favorite things: renaissance art, mysteries, albinos, and the catholic church but I ended up not liking it that much.
I think it's because I know too much about renaissance art so all their conspiracy theories were just too out there. Plus, I was writing my senior essay on the papacy during the renaissance and watched a whole bunch of specials about Mary Magdalene so I was all "lol okay dan brown."

I see. (.^o^.) Yeah, if you know a lot about the subject already I see why you would not find a book that interesting. For some reason, I had a feeling that you read it.

I found the book intriguing because I think renaissance art is fascinating and I think the conspiracies were quite interesting as well. But most of all, I love mysteries! (.^_^.) I can't wait to see the movie.

Who's going to star in that movie, do you know?
I'll probably still see it. I think Dan Brown is good at writing at least, because the book was still pretty exciting. I think I was mostly がっかりした because there was so much hype built up around it and you expect it to be something amazing but then you read it and you're just kinda like "なんだ、これ." When I read the first Harry Potter I was the same way hahaha.

HA HA HA I know what you mean. That's why I didn't really read the reviews and stuff before I read it.

Tom Hanks is starring. (.^o^.)

I read Da Vinci Code halfway. I don't know why, I didn't find it as interesting as the prequel to the book, "Angels & Demons". I think you should read that one, it's more interesting in my opinion. But I'm glad you like Da Vinci Code. Dan Brown is DEFINITELY a talented writer.

I was thinking about reading Angels & Demons! I just never got around to doing it because I have school work and stuff. (.~_~.)

I watched figure skating too! it's one of the few sports I like to watch ^_^ and I'm happy about arakawa's win. of course I was cheering for finland's pöykiö too, but she was 13th, not bad!

your new layout is nice! ^^ woah, lots of ryo-chan.

we have The Da Vinci Code somewhere in the house too... but I haven't read it ^^; maybe I should. so many of my friends have read it recently, and they all liked it.

Very very Ryo-ppoi layout (^_^)!

Da Vinci Code dragged me into the entire plot. I like Dan Brown's writing. Or maybe I just don't read a lot of books :P But I enjoyed all 4 books that I read!
