i agree on the point of pertunia so so much - because really if she were as horrid as fandom makes her out harry would not have been there that long
and yes to all your other points too! especially harry's cooking/potions skills and his emotionless state!

You know, up until I read DH I was hopping that at the end of the series we will learn that HP books are in reality Harry's biography written by Ginny. It would explain a lot about plot and details such as interactions between Harry and his relatives.

/So Harry helps with cooking, but any kind of skill he gained this way doesn’t translate to preparation of ingredients in Potions class. Nor him helping with cooking in DH ( ... )

/Maybe this another consequence of JKR not rereading her earlier books. Although that is a good point that you make about Potions class. Others and myself have wondered why Harry couldn't cook for Ron and Hermione in DH, but I never connected cooking with Potions. Now I wonder what would happen if Harry's cooking skills did help him out and he turned out to be great in Potions. Would Snape treat him any differently or would he be even more aggravated ( ... )

And Legilimency, which Dumbledore does wandlessly. Severus uses a wand when teaching Occlumency to Harry, but it is implied he can also do the wandless version. And Occlumency is wandless (by necessity, as it is truly defensive magic).

I wasn't sure so I avoided mentioning it, but you are right.
Mind magic seems to be wandless magic so in theory anyone who mastered it can do wandless magic. Does animagi tranforamation requires wand?

all magic was done via accidental bursts

We to think Petunia is being cruel for punishing Harry for something out of his control.

But later we learn that special snowflake Lily was able to control her magic as a young child!

If Petunia's only knows about magic from her sister of course she would think that is how it works. As long as she remembers magic was something Lily did on purpose. Unless someone warned her about accedental magic, she would think Harry was doing it intentually knowing she didn't like it - just like his mother.

That is quite interesting theory, especially in later books where Harry crashes party, turns Vernon's sister into balloon and apparently (from Petunia's POV) makes Dementors attack her son.
