so, as some of you know, my house is no more. i thought i would post the pictures, but i'm putting them underlinks so you aren't forced to look at them.
A few questions I have that may be answered if I'd just go back and re-read your old posts:
1) Do you know how high did the water go in your house? 2) What damage was done to the house, so it needs to be demolished? 3) What about the surrounding houses?
1. i think it was around 4 ft. not that high, but read 2...
2. the water wasnt too high but our house was already under construction and all that was holding the roof up on part of our house was pipes and insulation. so part of our house was already gutted. all furnature collapsed so everything was all over the place. and b/c we were already planning on changing our house my parents decided to just demolish it and build on the same site.
3. surrounding houses are just redoing their houses, i think. most people are selling. some are really bad and need to be demolished. it kinda depends on what type of house you had and how old it was. and some houses got more water than others.
its all complicated, i dont really understand it all. and i try to keep out of it. i just pay attention to the stuff that will keep us moving forward. the voting for a new mayor is today. i'm actually worried. i just want the best man to win.
