I'm in a bit of a whirl. The awesome 2x01 was a lot to live up to so I guess I sorta knew, this wouldn't be as good..but I still sorta liked it. It took me DAYS to write this. I'm so freakin' tired

I couldn't agree more with what you said about Stefan, Elena, Katherine, Matt/Caroline, the Salvatore Bros, Tyler and the uncle... ok, almost everything xD Speakin of Tyler and the uncle, I'm pretty sure there was even an article about the tension in the scene near the fireplace :p And yes yes yes about why the triangle shouldn't happen. The Salvatore brothers together are priceless! Don't even make me start on that... what's wrong with me and bromances? xD
thank you so much for reading sweetie *hugs* and of course agreeing ;D
Do you have a link to the article? I'm jus glad I'm not the only one that's noticed the slashy tension between these two..personally hope they make Tyler gay or even bi already. The guy has the best reactions/eyesex with, well the male characters excl. Caroline..XD
haha nothing wrong with bromances..they are some of the best relationships on tv if not the most entertaining..
I 'm one of the few people who don't like Damon's character, so I actually cheered when Bonnie set him on fire. It was a long time coming, he's gotten away with far too much and with what he did in the last episode I hoped Elena would have helped her.
Of course Stefan for me was the best part of the episode, he doesn't get enough credit (or any) for everything that he does. I just hope they don't ruin his character when the writers unfortunately start the Damon/Elena relationship.
wow you are a rare breed, hating Damon! Well, I think being burnt was a long time coming for Damon. I smtms hate him so much myself that I can't believe that I ever liked the guy lol You know in s1 when everyone kinda found him charming. The writers don't know what the heck they're doing with him and it shows. He's jus stuck in repeat mode now. Yawn.
Oh I loved Elena for being there for Bonnie and Bonnie only. She didn't want her friend to be a killer.. hope they continue to build up their friendship now. Lets face it Delena makes Elena into a bad friend.
I've got a really bad feeling they are gonna do that. Or leas shove Kat in there and say 'look he never got her out of his system'. Blerg
My problem with Damon is how Mary Sueish he is, he practically gets away with everything and the people he hurts usually end up being his friends. But my main problem with him which is another unpopular opinion which that I don't like the actor that plays him. I keep reading how great an actor he is, but all I is the same method of him smirking and popping his eyes out whilst trying to look crazy.
I liked that about Elena, I'm glad that scene was about Bonnie and her friendship with her. If Delena did happen, it would make her look bad because of everything he's done to people she cares about. Caroline, Jeremy, Bonnie and Stefan, and for her to competely forget that and be with him would it would do a complete 180 on her character.
I have a bad feeling about it as well, because Elena would have to be a complete idtot to throw away such a trusting relationship with Stefan to be with Damon which she'd end up constantly walking on egg shells in case she upsets him and he'll hurt someone she cares about again.
Absolutely loved your review :) I couldn't agree more.
You brought up a good point about Elena, I'm usually too annoyed with the writers trying to push Delena back together that I can't see the good in her. I really CANNOT. I can't even relate to her, because I really want her to beat him, spit in his face, yell at him or tell him to go shove it. Instead, he says she needs to come with him and she follows. Because he's hawt like that.
Well I've always believed that DE makes Elena, Idk..useless? Like she's desperately trying to control someone, or circumstances that she can't. And she knows it but she's talked herself into believing a delusion. This 'idea' of caring for Damon/delusion actually pushes away the ppl she loves like her friends, family and in this episode she realised it. I think she did blame herself, sort of. But I think the biggest thing she did was blame Damon and instead of doing what normal ppl would do in a situation, instead of Idk, saying something to the D-head she walked away. Bad move.
ove it. Instead, he says she needs to come with him and she follows. Because he's hawt like that.
haha omg roflmao. So true! Elena acts like a brain-dead tween alot of the time when it comes to Damon, no wonder DE is soo popular *rolls eyes*
I think that Julie Plec is just so engrossed in Damon that she thinks he can get away with anything. It's like they said "How cool would it be if this guy totally terrorized this 17-year-old and she totally fell in love with him?" If they had wanted to take a look at the Stockholm syndrome that probably would have worked.
And I don't really blame Elena for seeing the good in Damon, because he's showed it to her. He can be the perfect gentleman around her, sweet and caring, and that's all she sees. She's come from a family in which she was doted on, her entire background actually shows that she was always the golden girl, she never had to fight for anything, she never had any enemies. She judges people by the way they act towards her. And I thought that Damon killing Jeremy would be a wake-up call. It's something I've said since the beginning: if he changes FOR Elena, then what happens when she rejects him? This kind of behavior should have had major consequences, but it doesn't. It never does for Damon on this show :(
One thing I want to know - what gives Damon the right to kill Caroline? Okay she's a vampire. But he's one too. What gave him the right to decide she decides but he lives? Think about it.
Not just that, but also: in the last episode, he supposedly wanted to turn Jeremy and saw that as a good thing. So... an ex-junkie who wants to shut off his feelings/humanity (thus probably going rampage) is so much better than a normal girl who's just confused?
