My Hand Cage

I made a pretty thing out of dead roses. It's got thoRNs.

It's a VERY SPECIAL cage to hold bad peoples' hands in.

Have you ever been up North? I have. People drink lots and they don't half curse... My Spike got in an argument with daddy. All over a name, it was. Silly.

Always getting in fights, those two.

Angelus didn't care for the upstart, see. Those boys... Picked himself a new name. Angelus still said William, but he'd called himself Spike.

Made him feel all manly, so it did.

Angelus didn't like his need for fisticuffs. Drew too much attention, he said. But Spike said maybe daddy's gone soft and forgot how it's like to be as we are.

They learnt from eachother, even if they don't care to admit it.
