Looks very tasty!

And that recipe... wow. I wish I could eat pork (my insides don't like it when I do, alas) 'cause that tea looks like the perfect thing to warm a body up on a super-cold day. Do you think it would also work with turkey necks instead of pork ribs? Or maybe chicken legs?

You can do chicken feet, turkey necks, instead of pork. They never said you can't do alternative version as every cook must have different version.

I don't eat much pork, and the strong herbal taste of this soup puts me off.

We can get the packet pre-mix version from the supermarket, then add out own meat and liquid, and cook. This way, the taste is less 'medicinal".

Goes well with plain white rice and thick dark soya sauce with sliced red chillie peppers.

I'm not big fan of pork myself, except bacon but that's maybe once a while... Is not that strong, but the Mayalasian version is a tad stronger than Singapore version... It still tastes the same.
