I haven't really said my piece or my actual thoughts. Running a community just for Szayel Aporro. Based on recent chapters, it's still basically a shounen comics with graphical subtext hentai; after all this is male author. Most male author have such intent with fighting and women with large bowling ball breasts. Nothing new here... Similar to other animes with also similar context, as well as hentai animes and games. Perhaps I have watched a few too many of those, Fate Stay-Night being one of them.
I also noticed Szayel being on the recent calender with Ichigo in front. Meaning the research of Ichigo's Reiatsu is still going to happen at this rate, but when is it going to happen? Everything is a wait and see what the author will do next. Though I find Szayel's Zanpakuto there is a lot than just voodoo dolls. When I was talking to Shini when I was writing my first fiction that time and asking a few questions. Shini mentioned that his Zanpakuto is a lot older, which I think it probably hit a nail on that one.
Szayel colour is also pink, this will summarize his personality and characteristics:
Pink is a combination of red and white. The quality of energy in pink is determined by how much red is present. White is the potential for fullness, while red helps you to achieve that potential. Pink combines these energies. Shades of deep pink, such as magenta, are effective in neutralizing disorder and violence. Some prisons use limited deep pink tones to diffuse aggressive behaviour. It can be used to show childish innocence, or a characters child-like personality. It can also be used to show a more flirtatious personality. Pink is normally a color associated with girls and femininity. Pink is considered a color of good health and life; rebirth. Pink is associated with sexuality, and purity.
As you know in the last few lines below, you will find that also sums up his Fornicarás and recent revealing her power. It makes sense for the author's intention to do so. Yes, Szayel is not much of an aggressive fighter or showing signs of wanting to fight. Afterall, he is a scientist first and fighter second, or last resort.
Yes, there is a difference between Szayel and Mayuri.
Szayel gives room and allows his opponent to play or say, a sense of neutralizing. Not everything he sees are experiments, even taking Dorodonii's life was part of his plan and research to find out more about Ichigo's Reisetsu. Because even Ichigo doesn't understand it himself based on those powers he has inherited. Although, Szayel devours his own fraccions to heal himself, but he does keep his promises to Verona and revive Lumina (or in that case, "make another one"). Mayuri would be your typical mad scientist; experimenting on everything, including himself. Not giving an inch of room for Ishida to do anything, as well as he continues to humiliate his family and the entire clan of Quincy.
Szayel does gives himself away easily, but that would his child-like personality and wanting attention. I don't blame him either and that would be colour association with the characters themselves, and for the rest of the Espada.
