Is This an Art Thief? *edit* NOPE

Ok nevermind, couple people can vouch for her as legit. That's cool, just wanted to make sure it wasn't one of those copy-pasta people.

I can't be sure, but this person's gallery seems legit at first glance. I could believe one person did all the pieces, but given the lack of artists comments beyond three words in many cases I thought i'd put it ( Read more... )

I don't know, but given the artist says they are Japanese and don't know English, the lack of comments is understandable to me.

From their ID:
Hello,there!
I am a Japanese art student.
I am writing English by using the dictionary and the translation site. It is likely not to read easily surely.
English can be roughly read though my English grade in the school was bad.

True, but usually i find foreign artists are quite happy to speel on about their art in their native language at least. Not that i'm saying the fact she doesn't makes her a thief, but there just... seems something sus about it. Plus scrutinising the artist signatures, they're kinda... random. Most artists stick to the same thing. This one changes a lot, and some things you'd expect would be signed aren't. Now I forget to sign stuff when it's sketches and things, but major finished paintings? And why would the sig be so different between pics? It's just a collection of small things that ring bells in my head.

Not to say she's a thief persay, she could just be one of these dumb kids that thinks you can use DA like a facebook album and just post stuff you like without correcting people's assumptions that its her work.

for me seems quite clear and right. My "art" changes a lot and im not yet at the phase where i could try out different styles... this gal might be. Also, she gave her blog address so we could see her art in the process...

There are pic comparising programs which could give a result. For the moment i have no time to do this research, wait until i get home!

Aww I know this artist and I knew her at Pixiv also. And nope, she's not an art thief as you may classify, it's just by her different art styles that makes her unique artist I presume. But the only dominating feature that I can tell from her is the coloring style and how she drew TF's optics. Just like what Swift said, she provided a blog address too so that's safe to say. Additionally, I have a sort of job of tracking down Japanese TF artists (and one of them are my friends of sorts too ehe) just in case they joined DA from Pixiv. This is in a way I can at least do something about them if in case there be art thieves who stole their works. And well it did happened once I tell ya.
