You said it only hurt as much as getting braces? I've wanted one for ages but have always been a wuss about the pain. =S

Your folks'll get over it, they'll probably even forget you have it since it'll be under your hair most of the time. You should see how long it takes them to forget and then randomly wear your hair so they can see it again. =P
