that's a really cool name. If I would have had a girl it would've been a Zelda--though probably more because of my obsession with the video game than anything else!

Didn't have the bris yet because he hasn't really come home, but I hope he comes home soon.
In the hospital, he would NOT latch on. He would scream and scream and scream... So we essentially both sat in the bed crying, and zev felt guilty because I wanted to bottle feed in the first place.
He started to dehydrate, and no amount of nurse coaching/positioning could get him to latch, so I started to pump. We took him home on the 22, and two hours later he stopped breathing. Back to the hospital he went.
The nurses staff at this hospital are much more helpful. I'm able to get him to latch on with the assistance of a shield, but he gets impatient with the left side. Hopefully I can nix the shield when he gets a little bigger, but we'll see. He's really a pig--all the nurses say so.
I'm so sorry you're having trouble!! Don't give up!! The nursing relationship you'll have with your son, IYH is the most intimate, rewarding experience and worth all the pain and effort. We have been through a lot - shallow latch and cracks and blisters in the beginning. Thrush, plugged ducts, mastitis. You can do it! HaShem made your body for this

omg. "upper breast side"? lol. I've got an avent isis duo. It's a good hospital grade double electric. I'm very happy with it, but I do feel that I'm too top heavy for the horns. I didn't know they sell different sizes.... Interesting. I changed my name. Watch your friends list.

He has apnea and his platelets are a little lower than they'd like them to be. He's been in the hospital since they discharged me on the 22.
