Flags were everywhere, both that of the Philippines and also the old flags of the Katipuneros. Almost wrong timing. The waving embroidery seemed to be trying to say something. It was June 12, marking the 107th year of Independence and practically the last day that the Narcisos stepped on Philippine soil.
Looking at Grandfather June's children, Tty's family is the remaining family who is still residing in this forsaken country. I wonder how Tty is taking the absence of his siblings. Our parents recommend us to migrate as well, but none of us wish to do so as of the momment. But I think the going-abroad-to-visit-the-ex-Filipinos is serious.
Afterwards, I had 4 consecutive wins out of 7 rounds of Tong-Its, and felt good. We still prefered Pusoy-Dos (Big2). I favored its double-deck 6-player version - the 3 Pascual boys and the 3 Narciso girls duking it out with handsful of cards. The last game that we ever played.
............
Take care, my dears. Seeing you again is I think a year and a coin-flip away. (USA or Canada?) Not sure with the country of choice, though.
On the opposite case, welcome back to YOUR country,
cookie_pixie.
Yet on a different piece, I've been playing a lot of Tekken 3 lately. I've changed from Xiaoyu to Yoshimitsu, since I really enjoy his unblockable slashes. I'll let Limit enjoy Xiaoyu's grace, while I fancy myself on nearly-cheesy 10-hit (10-string?) combos.
You know how to hold your PlayStation controller, right? Pinky and ring fingers holding the handle thingy while your palm sandwiches the whole controller horizontally, middle and index fingers on all shoulder buttons (R2/R1/L1/L2), left thumb on the d-pad, right thumb on the standard buttons (x, square, triangle, circle).
I dunno, but I see players using the thumbs, pinky and ring fingers holding the handle while the palm covers the front part of the handle. Left middle and index fingers on the d-pad, right middle and index fingers on the standard buttons. NO SHOULDER BUTTONS. I did adopt that myself, and it does seem easier. My right hand no longer goes numb after a 20000-damage practice.
I can't wait to fight my friends again. I just hope the same moves and combos on Tekken 3 still apply on Tekken 5.
Over and out.
