Hah hah hah. I love the letter at the end. The rather delightful "screw you" nature of it is nearly perfect. ;)

Ah, Anora. Perfectly professional and perfectly cutting.

This ending feels right: they both have duties to which they must attend, and they both stick to those even when it is not what they want. I like Anora's awareness that Cauthrien's even-handedness must now be suspect, and I also like that she does take that as an indication that he is not, in fact, bangin' the Warden-Commander.

I look forward to more of this! :D
